Yurdakul Engineering has provided electrical design and consultancy services in Türkiye and abroad since 1991. Over thirty-five years the practice has contributed to more than 530 projects; hospitals, airports, hotels, shopping malls, office and residential buildings, mixed-use high-rise developments, government buildings and educational campuses form the backbone of its portfolio.

The company was founded in October 1991 by Mehmet Sabri Yurdakul. In 2009 management passed to Özgür Ulupınar, a member of the team since 1992, while Mehmet Sabri Yurdakul continued as founding consultant. Kemal Arı, who joined in 2004, became a partner in 2011 and has served as company director since 2023 — completing a corporate structure in which management is handed from one generation to the next, independently of the founder. Yurdakul Engineering today works with a staff of 25 across its Ankara and Kuwait offices.

The practice covers the design of all electrical systems from high voltage to extra-low voltage, the preparation of tender documents, site supervision and shop drawings. Projects are developed to TS, EN-IEC, NFPA, BS, SBC and Russian standards; the team's command of English and Russian allows it to work directly with international project management, architectural and engineering groups.

Over the past decade energy efficiency, building automation and renewable energy have moved to the center of the design approach. Design is carried out in close integration with architectural and mechanical teams and, since 2019, modelled in a BIM environment up to LoD 400 on projects where the client requires it.
